One way of delivering a baby is by hiring a midwife.Although it is not a popular choice among mothers it is already gaining a following.  The reason why it isn’t as widely done is the common misconception that it is unsophisticated. What I meant was that not a lot of technological advances are being used in this method. And it is because of this lack of technology use that people think it is not a safe method to deliver a baby.  In this article we are going to show how a midwife has advanced in technology as well.

Well as a midwife in San Diego I know first hand that midwives are starting to use more technology.  Although the goal of having a baby through a midwife is to have it naturally.  You still can use some modern technologies. One example that midwives use is an ultrasound. The reason for this is so that a midwife can also determine the gender of the baby.

Another advancement that is being done in my midwives San Diego service is that we do have emergency equipment at birth.  Things like equipment to resuscitate.  Other various forms of emergency equipment.  These different advanced pieces of technology allow the homebirth to be more safe.

Another advance being done with my San Diego waterbirth service is the waterbirth kits being used.Waterbirth is a kind of delivery of babies where the mothers are in a pool of water. Well the kits allow for ease of delivery. It will also make it safer for the mother and the baby during the delivery itself.

As you can realize midwifery has also advanced in its methods and it is safer. The method is just more natural as compared to hospital delivery but the practice has advanced also. This means that midwifery is a more safer practice now to deliver babies. The tools that midwives now use make delivering babies at home as safe as delivering babies in the hospital.  So if you are thinking of a homebirth it is a safe option.
